WHAT IS ARTAN?
We are a group of people that dedicate their free time to making art. The team was founded by Juaco Garin & Chino Messina in 2007 with the objective of creating movies. Today we are working to improve and professionalize our productions and convey stories with values.

 

WHY MOLES?
Since the birth of personal computers, all over the world individuals have risen who satisfy their artistic needs in front of the light source of a pc. We work in the "cave", our refuge. We simply stay in our rooms and emerge to the light with finished productions.

You have to be able to:
° See the detail in the detail, find Wally in Wally's Land.
° Work on what you love during your free time (without turning into a slave, well... LOL).
° Appreciate team work, a mole doesn't know everything.
° Redo everything you've done until you consider it's acceptable (almost impossible).
° Live in a cave, not literally but almost.
° Have a some PC skills
° Barely sleep, not as an obligation but as something that comes naturally.

 

NEW SHORT MOVIE
We present to you Levadura (Yeast), a short movie created by ARTAN  with the sound of La Pirada latam. 
° The production
The recording only took a day, but it required an arduous work by the crew. We didn't have cinematographic lights so we used bedside lamps.
The animation took quite some time because it was made completely in 2D. We preferred to draw it with a simple line to refer to the character imagination.
° The story
We wanted to address a subject that affects our present: the insecurity, the phony glory and the frivolous desire. These aspects are the seed of many problems in society.
There is a belief that yeast provides power. Following this idea, we plan what everyone can make of themselves and if it’s convenient.

 

JAZZY VAQUITA
This little project was finished in just one night. The idea was simple, make people smile, with jazz and a Ladybug. All of the editing and coloring was done digitally. The drawings are just made with a pencil, no ink, in order to finish it faster.

 

JAVA
